[INFO] Yeh Hum NaheenYeh Hum Naheen is the inspirational musical movement bringing together some of Pakistan's biggest artists. The idea is the brain child of Waseem Mahmood, author and media consultant who specializes in the reconstruction of media in post war countries.
The message behind the song denounces terrorism throughout the world and sends a message that true Muslims do not support or endorse terrorism. Yeh Hum Naheen means 'this is not us' and is an appeal from Muslim artists who feel their identity has been hijacked by terrorists, this song signifies how it is time for them to reclaim their identity.
The musicians making this statement include Haroon, Ali Haider, Ali Zafar, Hadiqa Kiani, Deeyah, Shuja Haider and Shufqat (strings). These are some of the worlds biggest Muslim artists united for the very first time on one amazing song. Additional production and re-mastering of the track was done by Grammy award winning producer and song writer, Darin Prindle at Soapbox studios, US.
Ahead of its UK release July 16th 2007, the music video is being played on B4U, ZeeTV, PrimeTV, AYR and Sony Music television. Aswel as currently being featured on the BBC Asian Network as a 'big one' on the Adil Ray show.
The song is released on FNIK Music in the UK via iTunes and mainstream outlets including HMV and Virgin Megastores on July 16th 2007.
